Overall Responsibilities
The GFA Manager – SFO will work on critical capabilities for Eli Lilly & Company’s sales forces. These
capabilities include sales force sizing, sales force structure, territory alignment design and maintenance,
field call planning support, customer targeting among other strategic / operational workstreams.
Key accountabilities will include the following:
• Work on projects related to Sales Force Optimization areas like Sales Force Size & Structure,
Territory Deployment, Call Planning, Dynamic Targeting, Business Reporting
• Strong partnership & excellent communication with LCCI & US stakeholders.
• Lead multiple projects on key SFO areas and ensuring quality and timely delivery of the project
through effective delegation.
• Mentor and coach team members to support talent development of the team.
• Monitor customer and marketplace to identify opportunities to optimize sales operations
strategy.
• Evaluate and resolve complex business and operational problems and challenges that arise in the
course of the projects.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced sales force execution.
• Brainstorm & work on new capabilities. Deliver continuously on process improvements,
enhancements, automation & capability building.
• Lead a team of 5-10 individuals.
• Coach and develop team members through performance management, development planning,
promotion, and career plans; represent those team members in talent discussions.
People Management

• Serves as trusted career advisor, and work with Indy and LCCI based Leadership and LCCI HR to
identify career opportunities as appropriate.
• Coaches team members using the Lilly coaching framework by encouraging two-way dialogue
and open feedback, listening actively, being flexible, and identifying knowledge, skill and
performance gaps.
• Provides consultative value and removes barriers so the team can focus on prioritized work.
Additional Skills/Preferences
• Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, challenge, and influence across executives and all other
levels
• Previous successful business operations experience
• Strong learning agility and analytical mindset
• Excellent communication (written & verbal) and prioritization skills with attention to detail
• High level of motivation and a strong desire to find creative solutions to challenging situations
• 7-9 years of professional work experience
• Bachelor’s degree; master’s degree or equivalent experience is a plus
• Good focus on detail, accuracy, and ability to solve problems through analytical reasoning
• Experience in business analysis
• Ability to showcase people agility while dealing with peers/ direct reports
• Strong work ethic, personal motivation, and team player who is dynamic and result oriented
• 2+ years of experience in coaching and mentoring individual
